    Default Patriotic Puppies

I won a patriotic jelly roll in December and decided to use that along with some of my scraps to make this Patriotic Puppies quilt for a friend's first grandchild. I didn't have an appropriate fabric for the back so I used up the leftover patriotic strips and some more scraps to make a big log cabin block. I like the back better than the front so I put the label on the front.

One of the paw prints had a hole in the fabric so I appliqued a star inside. I'm claiming that puppy stepped on a star!

Very cute and excellent barber pole binding! The back is as cute as the front!

That turned out so very, very cute. It's really hard to decide if I like the front or back best. Love what you did with the hole by applique of the star. Such a neat quilt.
