    Default Inspiring Granddaughter!

A few days ago I got a picture of what my granddaughter (age 5) made out of colored paper and some scissors and glue: I at ance thought of a wonderful suggestion to do it in patchwork! And so her handicraft work turned into a place mat for her!

How special for her and thoughtful of you. Great idea. We do things like this and our grands think we can make anything. Love it!

That's so very, very special. She should be so proud of it & that it is her very own creation. That's a fantastic way to get the little ones interested in quilting. Seeing your very own creation put to fabric must be a real joy.

I think you may have inspired her first! Her art already looks like a quilt to me. Either way, I’m sure she will be thrilled to use her one of a kind placemat.

Hello, you are so right! I have 5 grandchildren aged 10 to 4 and they say that: if Oma can't repair it no one could!!!
The most important things an Oma must have: hammar, nails, glue, tape... and the sewing machine!
