Default Square Dancing with the Stars

I saw this pattern online and had to make it. It's called Square Dancing With the Stars by Darlene Deon Designs. It is well written and uses a ton of scraps. I used left overs for the borders and the Star points are all navy. I used one piece of navy for the center star points and another piece for the outer stars. The narrow borders were made with 1/4 to 1/3rd yard pieces left over from other quilts. The outer red border was a remanent of 108 inch wide fabric. I was suppose to cut 7 1/2 inch borders but the remanent was enough for 6 1/2 inch borders and I had just enough of the green left for another narrow border to make it the 7 1/2 inches the pattern called for. I really had fun using scraps and leftovers making this quilt. It finishes at 106 by 106 inches so it is a good size. After I finished the flying geese blocks, I had lots of triangles that I cut off so I sewed them together into HST's and made 2 table runners for my granddaughter. I used scraps from a scrap quilt!

Awesome!! Scrap quilts are my favourite and using the scraps from the scrap quilt for another project is like chocolate sauce on my ice cream! I love your quilt and your runners. They are absolutely beautiful!
