Saved a Singer 201-3 from the dump today
Picked up a free (Made in Great Britain) 1950 Singer Centennial 201-3 in a V3 No. 40 cabinet this morning. You don't see many 201's that aren't 201-2's in this area......especially free ones! It was headed for the dump....as a matter of fact the truck that was going to haul it to the dump arrived right after I did! SAVE!

I just can't believe anyone would put a machine like that in the trash. I just can't believe it. Now that said, I rescued a Singer 15 , a Singer 329 and an Elna Star series from the street. All needed work, but still, the idea that any of them was left for the trash collectors is astonishing to me.

BTW, with the quick addition of a spoked hand wheel, a hand crank, and a bentwood case.....and suddenly my free 201K3 has transformed into a 201K4!!
