Default Lonestar

Hi Quilters, Remember this Lonestar I pieced and sandwiched it a few months ago? Well then I fell and broke my arm so I’m just now getting back to quilting. Don’t judge me too harshly because I must admit my control of fabrics were not the greatest to start out. I thought by the time I got further along it would look better, but by then I was hurting and had to call it a day. Anyway, it’s done. I thought if I showed the back you might could see the stitching but I don’t know. I ‘tried to stitch somewhere near the ditch if not in the ditch😩on the Stars. The background I did my meander or free motion large stipple. Not sure if you will be able to see.

Toogie what a beautiful Lone Star! I don’t understand why you are being so hard on yourself, this is fantastic and your colors are wonderful. Lone Stars are not easy and you nailed it all the way around congratulations on the finish!

Congratulations on your finish! Quilt looks great and you must feel a real sense of accomplishment. I've never made a Lone Star ...was it hard to do?

Sorry about the broken arm - ouch! You did a very good job on the quilt even while still healing.

Your lone star is perfect. No one will notice if your ditch quilting isn't, so relax. Most lone stars end up being cones in the middle due to the bias edges, but yours lays so flat. Love the colors too. Great job!

Great quilt! If the quilting holds the 3 layers together, I call it good!
