Tonight on the local news, they had a dog wedding! It was put on by a local shelter for two older dogs that had bonded there and they wanted to be sure that they get adopted together. They had wedding attire, exchange of collars, floral bouquets, a wedding arch, a minister and license with their paw prints and other dogs as their "witnesses" and attendants!! It was followed by a reception with a multi-tier decorated cake, and a honeymoon!!!! Now I have proof that this country really is going to the dogs. haha

Some animals bond with others and to be happy, they need to stay together. Maybe the over the top production will attract the the right owner for them.

Hopefully it will. I've had dogs that really bonded. I had one that was so sad when he lost his buddy. I didn't want to adopt another dog right then, but I did just so he would be happy

If I had that dog wedding in my town, I would be in line to adopt the new couple. Such sweet news. I need more joy in my newscasts. Thanks for sharing!

I would like to update you all and announce that the two dogs were adopted as a couple last week. They were welcomed with a party at their new forever home to live happily ever after.
