Default Steel hanger to hold heavy fabric/velvet

    Hi everyone!

I am currently on the hunt for a similar hanger that will hold my 10 yards of velvet.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to one of these? Google is not very helpful - especially when you search "Velvet hanger" -_-

Here is a picture I took at Joann's (they didn't know what it was called).

    Thank you in advanced,
    Kirito

I would suggest you look for Retail Display companies. It is probably something made for the retail trade.

Would the store sell you one, two or what is needed?

Thank you for your quick responses, I am still on the hunt for the elusive velvet hanger ^_^

Schill93: I have tried to research a bunch of the retail suppliers, I even wrote to one that one of the Joann's I called gave me. They didn't know what they were or where I could find them unfortunately.

KathyM: I have so far asked a few stores and they are unable to sell one to me.

You might try googling closet rod extender. It would
give you the rod and some hooks you could adapt. Some have chains and you could use the shortest link - there are a lot of them out there

I think I would ask at the fabric store if they had any empty heavy cardboard tubes that upholstery fabrics come on. You could roll the velvet instead of hanging it.

Would either of these work for you? I use one similar to the first one for my velvets, but added extra clips or jumbo safety pins so the fabric doesn't sag in the center.

Could these be used somehow? I have done business with this company in the past and have always been very happy with anything I purchased from them. High quality commercial products.
