    Default Help with Wolf border

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions for patterns to show off my limited Wolf fabric. Here's what I went with. Now for borders. My husband likes the trees going sideways since that will be facing up when it drapes along the side of the bed. I like the upright as it follows the trees in the quilt. Also, is the light gray inner border too light to frame the busy quilt?

I prefer the border fabric with the trees going the same direction as the body of the quilt.

I second the trees matching the direction of the blocks in the top. The grey is nice for an inner border so the tree fabrics are not right next to each other.

I like the trees on the border going the same direction as the in the quilt also.

I usually go with a darker or brighter first border just to make a frame, but it's totally a matter of preference. The lighter border is fine too.

I also agree with the trees all upright.

Adding my two cents. I would do it the way your husband wants. Not because I like it better, but because I wouldn't want to hear for the rest of my life how it would have looked better to do it his way.

I am trees a the same direction voter. Nice use of the wolves fabric and the coordinating and complementing other fabrics are perfect. . Good for you. If it feels weird or odd to you with the trees going sideways, then you have your answer.

very funny! The quilt will go to a graduating senior so he’ll never see it again!

sometimes if I can't decide, I make it go in all directions. for example, put all the tree trunks pointing to the center of quilt. Then everyone wins!
