Default Fireman quilts

I was commissioned to make two of these quilts - a King (107x107) and a matching wall (33x33). This lady bid on the one I created last fall that looked like these two but lost so she reached out to have me make her one, well two. The colors are much more vibrant in person. I don't know why they, especially the mini, look so washed in the photos. I do like how the back of the mini looks though. Its rare for me to put white on the back of any quilt.

Two more down, and more on the list to work on. See ya when I get some more done. Thanks for looking. And Thank You in advance for all your comments. I love reading what you have all have to say and so do the recipients.

Wow, your work is fantastic! No wonder she tracked you down to ask for a commission! Fabulous!

Oh I love them! Did you do it like trip around the world and then Applique the fireman on top? I like how you quilted it in flames too. Glad you’re making some money too.

it’s the blooming nine patch block/pattern. The window panes and the fireman are appliquéd down. Both are zigzag stitched down. Flames go through the panes but the fireman is stippled. Definitely felt the difference when quilting through four layers in those areas. I don’t do much commission work but it’s nice every once in awhile. This lady asked me today when I gave her these quilts if I was still interested in doing done for her daughter by Sept. and her husband wants a t shirt quilt made. Plus I am refurbishing a turtle quilt her Gma made. She could keep me busy.

and thank you. 😊

Thank you. I found it online. I am a determined searcher when I get something stuck in my head. It’s part of a “blaze” collection. The backing came from the same collection. It all flames. She told me this evening that her husband really liked the backing fabric.
