Default Boys Floating Pinwheels-Moda fabric

This fabric was gifted to me by a member here, all but the blue backing and the white background. Lisa said it was an older line but I don’t mind and don’t think the kids will care either. It’s by Moda called Bartholo-meow’s Reef. I wanted to try to get this one made after I made the twins quilts I just posted, but I had a migraine for a few days and shut everything down. I didn’t buy the pattern in this link, but watched the video below to make it. I could not for the life of me, figure out how to continuously stitch the pinwheel without back tracking, in a few spots. I got it done by outline stitching around and through the center then stippling my white background and blue border. I wasn’t too pleased stitching it but it sure photographed well. I don’t think I took a picture I didn’t like-lol

Thank you again Lisa, for helping some mom and her child be happy and warm.

You dear lady are a genius! The majority of us never would have thought about outlining the blades. What a difference it made. I got my pattern out and wrote myself a note to try that the next time I make one. Thanks!

Oooooo, nice quilt and it does indeed look rather quick and easy to create. Another one for my "To Do" list!

Another great finish. Some child will love the bright colors and the various patterns. Love how you did the pinwheels.
