Production date of Gritzner Durlach
Good evening everyone. My grandmother left me with a sewing machine "Gritzner Durlach" with serial number - 107004. I could find only 1 site with dating of machines from this manufacturer (https://www.fiddlebase.com/german-ma...ting-gritzner/). On it I was able to find that the production date of the machine should be from 1872 to 1890. Is it possible to somehow determine a more accurate production date from the photo? Does this machine have any value? There is also a wooden cap, but it is faded. These are the only photos so far; the functionality of the machine has not been established. Thanks for answers!
Unfortunately, I can’t attach photo files, so I have to add links to them:

This is my uninformed opinion. Finding a buyer who would be interested would difficult. If I were you, I would wait until you know if it works, and how well it cleans up. Then I would ask the question.
If you are asking if you should buy it and try to turn it for a profit, my answer would be no.

Welcome. I'm thinking that actually it may be a little later. I'm not sure where fiddlebase got their info. It looks like most of the machines that are seen on that link up to 1890 have a fiddlebase bed rather than the rectangular bed. There is another page that may or may not be helpful at https://www.naehmaschinenverzeichnis...inen/gritzner/ There are some other links for Gritzner at Gritzner treadle sewing machine
If all the parts are there, I would clean it up with sewing machine oil, and then oil the places that should move and sew with it. I would love to have a transverse shuttle machine to sew with, especially if it had been my grandmother's.
It is hard to tell how many collectors are in Russia and if there is much value there. It can be made to look a lot better and probably sew, but a lot of people do not have the time, patience and knowledge to do it by themselves.
