    Question Help Vintage Brother 661 Needle pos

    Hi ..Could anyone assist with advice re Vintage Brother Sewing Machine 661 - the needle position is stuck in far left position and I cannot correct it.

    Welcome to Quilting Board. It appears that you have what is considered a left homing machine. This means that for straight stitching the needle will come down near the left edge of the zigzag foot. Not a great machine for 1/4 inch seams, but okay for 1/2 inch or larger seams.
    You should be able to zigzag by moving the lever on the front of the arm of the machine.
