Default Scrappy Stars and Diamonds

I would like to thank laurilli whose question began this journey. In her post looking for a pattern by Donna Haas, Gay posted a picture of a possible contender. Thank you Gay! I loved the quilt in that picture but for the life of me, I could not figure out the pattern. I sent the photo to a good friend and she deconstructed it for me. Thank you my friend! Then Petthefabric posted her rendition of the pictured quilt. It was absolutely beautiful!

I still don't know if the picture that Gay posted is the actual pattern that laurilli was looking for, but I had lots of fun using up scraps and making this queen sized top for our guild's Community Quilts. Thanks for looking.

Nice pattern, I may have to copy for a QOV. I don't understand what pattern you were trying to make, but yours came out great.

Love it!

Although I've been quilting for ages and ages, I do not "see" most blocks, including those in this one. First, I thought it was one block that was turned 1/4 turn and put next to the previous one. Now, I'm thinking 2 alternating blocks. Either way, I'd have to have the actual pattern in hand to do it.

Yours is a beautiful quilt, thank you for sharing.

I like how you used scraps for this quilt, it really looks nice with this quilt pattern!
