My favorite bibs for my son when he was small were made out of hand towels. A lady from my church put stretchy neck binding around a hole in the middle.

I always used plain old-fashioned vinyl baby bibs.

Fuss-free, easy-wipe, always clean, no-fuss care.

As for sizing if I were making one, large enough to cover baby's front, like 3/4 the size of an average tea towel.
