Boom 32 Squirrels

Good afternoon. This is our new thread so please move all future discussion here. The name “Squirrels” was suggested and it’s just silly enough to work this round. I will carry your photos of fabric to the gallery from the old thread. No need to repost unless you wish to.

Our important dates are:
Tuesday, August 20 - F8s are due
Saturday, August 24 - I ship to you
Friday, November 22 - blocks are due
Wednesday, November 27 - I ship to you
Those in one group will send me 19 F8s. Those in two groups will send me 2 sets of 19 F8s. Postage is $9 per group. Please be sure to include it with your fabric. If I can combine 2 sets, I will return the overage.
All rules posted in the sign-up thread still apply. Everyone is a repeat Boomer. You all know how this works so that’ll make it easy. Please remember to keep in touch at least weekly! That’s the most important aspect of the swap. It's helpful to subscribe to the thread.
Welcome to Boom 32, Squirrels! Please start posting!

Love that floral. It’s been awhile since we have at such a vibrant floral.
And before Booms I had never ever considered Tula fabrics. Niw I look forward to playing with it!
Debbie left 5” last night and no electricity . You know it’s not good when they needed to send out helicopter to check all the lines. This is the fourth downpour (3-8”) since beginning of July. State has kept up with their roads but town and county are struggling. Thankfully DS has generator for freezers. He brought his work generator to neighbor for her freezer. This small town finds ways to pull together.
I had taken out a small turkey for dinner tonight as company coming, but will have to wait till tomorrow.
Have my package ready but post office has no electric and I can’t print ! Tomorrow is another day.

Beautiful block, Cheese! It ought to be a colorful quilt.
TG, glad you are ok. I hope they get your power back on soon. It's miserable to be without it in the heat of summer.
I'm excited for the block making to begin!

Cheesehead beautiful block and I love the vibrant floral
TG so sorry to hear you have been pummeled by Hurricane Debby. We have had an unbelievable amount of rain this year but you are getting bombarbarded. Hope you have power soon.
Today was the campgrounds chicken feed potluck. We were talking about all the different weather scenarios we have been through for the potluck. It’s only in the 69’s here and other years we have had rain, wind and heat. Being cool was just fine with all of us but very sad we have had so little lake time with all the crappy rains.

Just back from a comedy festival in Asheville. We saw 8 comics and much of it was hysterically funny. A couple really stood out. What a fun evening.
TG, sorry to hear of your Debby troubles. I hope electricity is back on soon. We just got some light rain and clouds this far inland.
I'm ambivalent about my fabric choice. I guess I’ll look through the stash one more time. I’m enjoying seeing all your fabrics. I hope to open the gallery tomorrow.

I love the name squirrels! We have a black squirrel with a red tail locally, I’ll try to snap a pic, he is all over the neighborhood so it might get tricky, but he is so CUTE! I’m headed to the fabric store to pick up a good background, I’m going to request a 2 color for one of mine and I’m still tossing around ideas for the second set, but I have to decide today because otherwise mailing gets dicey. All of the sudden I have 3 weddings in one month. Now I get why Jenny Doan gives a picnic quilt. That’s all you have time to do sometimes. I have to get going :-) hugs squirrels!
