Default 1970 Viking

Does anyone know which needle my new to me Viking model no.158.900 takes. Will take it in for service next month.

That looks like a Kenmore model number and would look like the one seen at https://manualsoncd.com/wp-content/uploads/1319a.jpg The Viking 900 is a serger.

The Kenmore would take normal 130/705 needles. Some of the sergers take the same needle, but many take different needles.

You are right, my mistake. Just printed off manual. Just got the old needle out, it has a reddish tip. Never seen this colour before

The name is not Viking as I was told and I never realized I was wrong it's a Kenmore.

Yes, Singer needles have a red top. It should also have another color on them to designate the size.
