    Default New Sewing machine again?

I bought a new sewing machine a few months ago. Today a big box was delivered. The box had a picture of a sewing machine on it. My husband said didn't you just buy a new sewing machine? I said yeah but that one wasn't on sale. He looked at me and said now this ladies and gentlemen is why I married this woman. LOL The box did not have a sewing machine in it. It was a few pieces of cast iron cookware and some cook books from a friend.

Love it! I have a friend that would hide her fabric purchases in the back of her car as her hubby never looked there. Then she would sneak it in a little at a time.

Ha! Good one! Early in marriage, if I made a large, possibly unpopular purchase, I'd just call DH and tell him. That way, he handled the shock before I arrived!
After all, he probably had to help unload!

He didn't understand why my friend and I decided to mail the heavy pans and cookbooks when they could be bought local. I said it's from her to me, different thing than reasonable.

    You always make me laugh!
Speaking of cast iron, I love using it, in fact it's my favorite.
Also- what machine did you buy a few months ago?

Ha! Is your friend, my friend? mine didn't sew, but would hide new clothes or anything she didn't want him to know about, hidden in her car too. Then bring it in when he was not there.

Her other ploy ... the groceries came out of his pay cheque ... so she bought everything and anything that she could in the grocery store! Toiletries, magazines, OTC drugs, etc. That was just at the start of when non-grocery items started being sold. She'd have a hay day now!!

the groceries came out of his pay cheque .

? Interesting. Both our monies goes in one account and everything paid from that. There wasn't and isn't now a distinction of who pays for what with whose money. Is this common?
