    Default Falling Charms is finished

I was looking for a fast and easy scrap buster when I came upon this pattern. I made it, bordered it with white, and then it just sat there, unloved. I tried to find a backing that would make me like it more, but then I realized that what it needed was a second border. I auditioned my very limited stash and found a piece of this purple print that I thought looked good. I backed it with a lavender mottled fabric and quilted it with butterflies. It's not my favorite, but it's done!

Susie and I out vote you, it’s a pretty quilt and love your butterflies! If this is made with charms, are the strip pcs around 2 sides 2.5x 5 and 2.5 x 6.5?

. MS always puts a pattern in their batting packages. The Falling Charms was one of them. I made it too but like your colors better.

Toogie, it could be made with charms, but I just used 5" colored square scraps. First you sew the 2.5" X 5" neutral piece to the square, which gives you a rectangle that measures 5" x 7". Then you sew a 2.5" x 7" neutral piece to the rectangle, which gives you a 7" square. The block then finishes at 6.5" square. I hope that's clear. Thanks for your kind comments.

Onebyone, I love blues and browns together, so I love your color choices.

I love it, Lois. So bright and pretty. It's what I call a happy quilt.

Thanks for getting back with info loisf. Sometimes we make mistakes with math is too simple so 7 inch does make more sense.-lol- I like the pattern and your purple border .
