Hello Everyone!
I need to make a French Braid that is 12" long. Width will be 3" (these are finished sized). If I use 2 1/2" square to start, then 2 1/2" wide strips to build the braid, can anyone tell me how many strips I might need to achieve the height I want? I don't have time to make one, and my brain is not cooperating tonight to draft it.

I think you need 12.

You'll need 10. (see diagram). The strips on the left need to be 4.5" long (the ones on the right can be 3).
