Honestly I'd to shocked to death if anyone bought me anything quilt related. My husband doesn't give presents and neither does my youngest son. Last year my daughter gave me two great lamps that I didn't think I needed, but once I moved my sewing room to the 3 season porch they really came in handy. My oldest son buys me cross stitch patterns.

I have a wish list on Amazon and yesterday noticed that all items except a couple of books are quilt related. Things range from a carrying case for my sewing machine to needle threaders. Last year my husband outdid himself to the point where I could give him a "free" card this year. We went into the LQS and I pointed out a number of walking feet for my machine along with a fancy Olfa cutter, then walked out and left him to shop. He bought everything and accompanied them with a $200 gift certificate. First time in my life my entire wish list has been cleared in one go.

One of the most unexpected happy grin gift I received one Christmas was Accuquilt dies from my daughter. She randomly chose several block on board dies that she thought made the prettiest pattern. And she got the mats too! I had no idea she paid attention to the tools in my sewing room.

Last year I asked for, and received, a large wool pressing mat and a Zerkel. This year, all I really want is my own longarm. But so far the other half is being very stubborn. Yes, it is an indulgence at my age, but heck, he has lots of indulgent toys in his workshop and he is older than me!!

I am blessed with enough quilting stuff to last my lifetime. The only thing I could ask for is…..enough time to use it all.

My DD gives cute quilty Tshirts. I am in need of square rulers. And I am about to run out of the white thread cones that were gifted to me. They were amazingly low lint. I really need more of those, but the giver has passed, so I can't ask.
