    Making a quilted scarf from scraps. Suggestions on a soft backing. Fleece, minkee, flannel?

    All of the above!
    Depends how bulky you want it to be.

    A couple of other options ....
    * one of the fabrics from your pieced side
    * something light-weight and silky
