    Default Florentine Fantasy

These fabrics and pattern were in a kit that I bought at a guild meeting several years ago. I had to change the pattern up a bit because the focus fabric was so wonky. The block centers are created by layering the fabric 4-deep (like for a S&W), cutting squares, and then cutting each square once on the diagonal. The resulting triangles are put together with what was a corner of the original square now in the center of the new square, to make a kaleidoscope-like design. Quilted on my Innova.

As always ... nicely done, Dunster!
I always love any of the BOW'ish kaleidos.

My 1st was a 4PP made with squares. Shortly after I started the QB, some were posting about theirs and gave enough directions, that I rushed straight to my stash and cut off a strip lengthwise, just to give it a try. Then soon another ... and yup, I was hooked!

But something is missing Dunster ... your photo shoot, just is not complete without your 4-legged helper!

A beautiful quilt and gorgeous quilting! I’m still not sure how you cut and pieced the blocks but when I first saw it I thought it was some new pinwheel.
