I won a a Binding Eaze at the LQS Christmas open house. https://quiltedheartz.com/product/binding-eaze

I have watched the videos but it does not work that great for me. When I pull the strip through it gets unfolded, twisted and wonky. I have to fold it and then pull it through every few inches. I don't see how it's faster or easier at all. Anyone use this with success? Right now it is on my not worth the price list.

I haven't ever used binding ease, but I just watched the video and I noticed a few of things she does not explicitly mention. 1) Her right hand (on the left side of the screen) is keeping the two edges very well aligned as she feeds the strip in. 2) The fold in the binding is as close to her body as the device will allow. 3) She's sometimes (often?) got tension on the strip from *both* her hands (so both hands are gripping a fixed point and moving sideways with the strip).
If you weren't doing some of those things, maybe adding them will help? Good luck!

I learned from someone on this board not to iron my binding before attaching it. Not only does it save that step (and the possibility of burned fingers) but the binding folds over more smoothly and naturally when I hand sew it to the back of the quilt.

Those gadgets always look so easy on the tutorials. Just like Dunster mentions, I don't iron binding.

I tried not ironing it before. That didn't work for me. I ended up with several pleats in the binding. I think binding is the most tedious part of quilting. I have found out the wider the binding the better it looks.

I had one and did not like it at all. My folds were wonky, and if I tried to feed it through by aligning edges better, it took more time than if I just manually ironed it in half. I actually like the sashers to use for making binding and sashing by Pauline's Quilting World . Here is the video How to use.
