    Default Gift presentation

I wanted to gift the Moda quilt I just posted in a special way. I found this ticking fabric for less than $3 yesterday. I already had denim someone here at home gave me some time back. So with leftover batting and ugly fabric for back of quilted front and back, I made this tote. Baby gets a quilt that he can grow with and mom get tote. I made an inside zip pocket for her wallet and a car/house key lanyard so she doesn’t have to dig in bottom for keys. I quilted the denim in a crosshatch like the quilt and the ticking is quilted an inch apart along the stripes. I embroidered the crab like a patch then stitched a tiny straight stitch over the satin stitch to adhere to tote. The quilt fits nice and neat inside. Now I wish my printer was working so I could print out a gift tag…
Have a nice night. Tomorrow is Friday already and shower is Sunday!-lol

Love the matching tote! What a great idea! I always have a challenge when gifting baby quilts about the wrapping. Tote bag for Mom! Love your project!

Both the quilt and the tote are beautifully done! What a lovely gift. And you've got 2 days to relax before the shower, too.

That is a nice tote. I've been looking at bags and totes, looking at patterns. Did you buy that one?
