I just finished binding this yesterday. It was a kit that I bought from Craftsy/Bluprint. I changed the pattern a bit. The center medallion was supposed to have hand appliqued leaves, but I didn't like that, so I put in more flying geese instead. I bought the matching backing at the same time, and now I have a *lot* of the fabrics from that quilt left, except for the white. There wasn't enough of that to support my change to FG instead of leaves, but I was able to find another yard of the same fabric online. Paper pieced, quilted on my Innova longarm.

Dunster, that's exquisite!!!!!!!!!!!
When I first started quilting Jinny was one of my first and best inspirations. I took a few of her classes as well. Her designs are amazing.
Yours is just wonderful! And I love your pooch.

Another stunning finish! Love the colours and fabrics. Jinny was always a favourite of mine too, she used to have an old video where she was sitting knitting and sharing her home. She told us once that she was hand piecing a quilt in the car on the way to a commitment and that she could hand piece as quick as by machine. (And yes your doggie looks so regal on it! ) 😍

Amazing!!
Outstanding piecing and quilting, Dunster!
Couldn't have been better fabric choices for the the 3-D look of the mariner's star.
Would never have thought of that background grey-mix, but WOW!! .... as the overall coordinator and the movement it gives to the piece.
