Default Stacked

I pieced this quilt at the end of 2024, but have been on a mission to get some of the quilts quilted and off the hangers, to donate. This quilt was a layer cake pattern by Me and My Sister called Stacked. I used a pale pastel and white. The backing was from Kaffe of sea urchins. It had all the same pastel colors in it and I thought it would be perfect, but when it arrived it was waaaaaay too bright. As I went to sandwich it and saw the back of the Kaffe fabric, I realized the back was perfect, not the front LOL I call it Spring in Bloom, as the feathers in the triangles remind me of flower blossoms.

Smart using the back of the fabric. I think it was the perfect solution. You paid for the back too!

So soft and pretty! I'm glad you had the inspiration to use the "wrong" side of the backing. It was just right for the lovely pastels on the front. Great quilting too!

Lovely work! That may be a first that someone has used the reverse of his fabrics to get their desired look! Good for you!

This is so pretty! I have always loved white space on a quilt. This is so soothing and cheery.
