    Default Anchors away

This was a baby quilt kit that I purchased years ago for $17.88 from Connecting Threads on clearance. This went together very quickly and is approx. 48" x 51". It also included 1.5 yds. of a flag border that I swapped out for the solid navy, as I thought the flags were too busy. I gave the flag fabric to a friend who sews with a QOV group. I included a picture of the sailboat minky that I purchased separately while on a retreat a couple years ago, which will be the backing.

That is such a cute boy quilt! Your backing will add to its cuteness!

That's a great quilt, and the backing will make it that much adorable! Great job.

I love it! I also love the donation to the QOV member. As you are aware, I’m sure, Quilts of Valor is something I support, so thank you.

Very cute! I've always wanted to make a sailboat quilt for a little boy, but it's still on my bucket list. You've given me hope!

The navy border was the perfect choice to show off the blocks. It is such a cute pattern and is sure to be loved and cuddled with the soft minky backing.

Fabulous finish! I think you made the right choice swapping out the border fabric.
