Default Do you financially support websites?

I don't think we've ever been hit up for operating costs here! Something I really appreciate Or, if someone can point me to a discrete button for support that I have otherwise missed, I might go visit it.

I believe in the old notions of a free web, but I've always been aware that free is not free and that a lot of things happen with selling my little bits and pieces of information. I'm a bit on the tinfoil conspiracy things about spyware and such.

I've pretty much always supported Wikipedia. I haven't been too good lately with financial support of MissingFabrics but I have connected a couple of people with fabric. My other online hobby is the game World of Warcraft (which has a subscription of its own), I have a couple of sites that I pay for their excellent knowledge and help.

Lately I've been adding a couple of "magazine" type subscriptions. Lately I've been considering The Atlantic as a place that has interesting stuff but I'm limited to maybe 2? articles a month.

What about the rest of you? Do you regularly support whatever it is financially?? 20 or so years ago, I guess I could have been a content creator but people weren't just sending people cash for entertainment back then. I just can't believe the amount of money coming in for some of the stuff out there!

I pay for ad free you tube. It's not to support youtube but to get rid of the ads. I use the quilt videos too much to be bothered with ads.

I pay for no add version of movie channel subscriptions, but that is not the same as supporting "free" info providers. I haven't found a website that needs my support, except this one!
