Default Anyone used a 'new to you' quilting notion lately?

Not a notion but I did use a large safety pin to feed yard into my zig zag foot to make couching. It sure was cheaper than buying a couching foot attachment and it worked great. I played with it but have no idea what I will use the couching for. LOL

Now this is one cool use of a safety pin!!! Ingenious! Decorative stiching is always wonderful. I hope you figure out where you might want to add it on your quilts!

I already have an idea to use that technique! Fancy Prairie Points video has me folding extra scrap squares. Couching will decorate perfectly!

I do like my new seam ripper. Well, as much as you can love a seam ripper! The tip is curved, sharp, and pointed. The only problem is keeping up with its protective cover.

I like new seam rippers. New colors and styles. I like the ones that have the replaceable ripper part with the nice handle. I buy the new heads on Amazon or Missouri Star.

@Onebyone ... I'm all for avoiding buying more tools! $ave our $$ when there is another way!
Though this one looks a bit risky to me ...
I'd be worried the pin might slide out from behind the screw.
Could become a very high co$t option, if that were to happen.

@Onebyone ... Again, as per my request above, could you please give us a link, for show and tell?
    Have never heard of this.

While we're at it ....... anyone found any white marking options lately?
It's seems pretty much illusive, to find the "perfect" one ...... but I keep hoping!

For Amazon or other places search for seam ripper replacement blades. Missouri Star: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/prod...placement-tips
Most extra nice handmade handles use the replaceable tips. Keep the handle and replace as needed

The pin never became loose when I was sewing. I did check it often.
