    Default Here is Shattered

Here is Shattered by Ariga Wilson for Robert Kaufman. It finished at about 48x64. I really don't want to look at another HST for a while. I bought the backing last fall, and I thought it would be perfect for the quilt, but I had second thoughts after the top was finished. I went with it anyway, because what else would I do with it. I wouldn't call this a napping quilt. I don't think you could ever sleep wrapped in this very bright quilt.

I think it is lovely and I could sleep under anything LOL The backing is fine. I remember when quilt backings were solid white or an old sheet. It amuses me that backings now are viewed as having to be color coordinated or match somehow. Backings are a great way to use up your scraps too. All that aside: I love your quilt and its colors, and its backing, however I can definitely relate to being tired of HSTs !!!!!

Just gorgeous! I love the color combinations. And I think the backing goes very nicely. Anything brighter might clash, but this one has the right colors in a softer tone.

This looks so pretty. I’m with you about making so many HST. I have a stack I need to square up and that’s the part I dread. About 60-80 of them, I can’t remember.

I think it's very pretty. I love how the fabric seems to glow.

Your quilt is beautiful! I admire you for finishing - all those little HSTs. Yikes!

Beautiful. Yup, it does look like a lot of work but totally worth it!
