Default Three Down, Four to Go!

I decided a few weeks ago that I was going to give quilts to my bridesmaids next March as my thank you gifts. I know I'm crazy, you don't need to tell me that, because who decides to make 4 quilts and plan a wedding? But that's not all. While working on the bridesmaid quilt, I realized there were two friends at work both expecting their second kid later this year. Thankfully I had two baby quilts already cut out and only needed to sew them together. So yesterday I finished 2 baby quilts, both disappearing nine patches (so super easy) and the first bridesmaid quilt that I'm calling Ocean Waves. It finishes at 54" 54". Did I mention that in addition to making them quilts, I'm also designing them myself and having to figure out the quilt math for them? Ironically, that's the part of all this that seems to be keeping me sane! Thankfully, I already know what I'm doing for the second one and the third one is a rough sketch. But I have no idea what I'll be doing for the fourth bridesmaid quilt. She's my niece and she got a bed sized quilt from me a few years ago. But the fourth quilt that I need to make is a baby quilt for my matron of honor who just announced they are having their first kid early next year and there's no way I don't make them a baby quilt. Wish me luck, and maybe some sanity!

You certainly took a lot onto your plate!

Love the bridesmaid quilt and the baby quilts! Might try that with some of my children's prints, just to have some baby quilts on hand.

Pretty quilts! I am stealing your idea for a baby quilt. It is simple, yet effectively showcases the fabric!
