Default Help me choose my next project

    I’m uninspired!!!!

Though I usually have a million quilts I want to make next, I find myself finishing a project, with no thoughts about where I want to go.

    Here are the parameters:

    -dark background
    -lots of negative space
-no blocks all lined up in rows like little soldiers-maybe a medallion? Or something asymmetrical?

Apologies in advance if I behave like that annoying friend who says no to everything. It’s me, not you. I’m just, well, uninspired!!!

Thank you my quilty friends ;-x

some thing with a panel? Quick, and if you don't like it, it is done shortly....

A medallion on point is always fun.

Try making a bag or tote or bowl cozie, etc. That really helps me out of a sewing slump.

Wow! When I'm halfway thru one project, I'm already thinking about the next one. If by some odd chance, I get caught not knowing what to do next, I look thru my saved pictures.

Maybe a modern quilt that has random bright triangles or other geometric shapes randomly floating around??? I haven't tried one yet, but it's on my radar. This would fit your perimeters.... IMO

Bonnie Hunter has a new pattern release (Abbeygate), which you can see as the top photo on either her Facebook page or her blog. No soldiers in sight on this one, and though sewing the units will be repetitive, my judgment, having bought the pattern (which is on sale) is that it will not be difficult. She has done it in red and white, but I think it would be great with a dark background.

Do you have orphan blocks? Set some on point, some not and create spaces around them. Let yourself take satisfaction that in this uninspired period you're being productive by using some leftovers.
