    Default NANAquilts

Has anyone bought a pattern from nanaquilts.com? They are based in the UK.

I think you mean nanaquilt.com. This is from their website:

NaNa Quilt is the brand of HAPPY QUILTER, 470 North Bridge Road, #05-12 Bugis Cube, Singapore, SG 188735. Our branch is located at No. 99 Hung Vuong street, HA NOI city, Vietnam. Our warehouse is located at 6901 Riverport Dr, Louisville, KY, 40258, United States

    Also from the website:

The website is jointly operated by Quilted Dreams
registered address at Suite C, Level 7, World trust tower, 50 Stanley street, central, HK and TELOS TRADING LIMITED registered at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, Herefordshire, United Kingdom, HR5 3DJ

All of that is just a little too convoluted to me. But they do have some lovely patterns. I wonder if the measurements are in inches? millimeters? furlongs?

Must admit that I had to google the site as I've never heard of it before this. Soooo many of the patterns they have listed I've seen offered by other name brand designers. Can't tell you if Nanaquilts.com are posing as the one and only designers of these patterns or are they a wholesale outlet for patterns. I did see 2 patterns that I've wanted for a long time, but was never able to find, so I may have to take a chance and order one as they are downloaded.

Wow! That's way too convulted for me. I'd probably look somewhere else for patterns.

Is that one of those advertisers on Facebook that pops up in feed or spams groups like Sew It's For Sale or Quilter's Market? If so, I'd avoid. There are a bunch of fake businesses out there that scrape someone else's photo (or a photo of a commercial item) to create an ad and then get your money OR your credit card info.

ETA - I Googled them and reviews. Found this, in a response to a FB post where someone received a pattern where the instructions did not match the photo at all and were so poorly written they were unusable, which confirms they are at least a waste of money

Here’s what I found: It appears to me, that Nana Quilt (which claims to sell quilt patterns designed by "dedicated nanas," at first look, doesn't appear to be a legitimate, reputable company based on the few comments I was able to find about the company. The reviews on their Facebook page are EXTREMELY NEGATIVE. Here are a few things I came across when I first started researching the company:

A quilting community on -specifically warns:
“Quilter friends: The Nana quilt site is another fake site … quilt patterns they have listed that are not theirs to sell.”

    On Facebook, someone notes:
“The company is real, but why would a pattern cost only $2.00? Probably because no one is paying the designer.” "The site’s short lifespan and privacy-protected domain info may raise legitimate caution."

These comments suggest to me, poor ethics—selling patterns without permission or fairly compensating designers. My PERSONAL Final verdict:
I have not personally purchased anything from this site, and I believe the lack of independent or verified reviews is also a red flag. The reviews on their Facebook page are extremely negative, accusing them of being a spammer, stealing patterns and images from other quilters, and AI generated. I don't have any verification of that, but there are many, many comments to that effect. Scary...

^^ Sorry about the bad URL gorp in the quote. I've asked the mods to delete those nonsensical links from the post.

I don't trust info from strangers on FB. Especially recipes!

You will need to do some research, but as their patterns are ones they have taken from others, the original is usually out there somewhere. Try a right click on the photo to see if you can find another source or link for it. If not, maybe screen shot the photo and post in another group (like this one, or other FB quilting groups) to see if anyone knows the pattern name/designer.
