Red face Christmas in August (missed the July date)

I have been asked to make as many quilts as possible for the Children's Hospital Wing. I'm looking for any patterns that are good for a quick stitch together and suitable for 16 years down to 2 years of age. NO FELT is allowed for these quilts. The hospital will refuse any quilt made with felt. Have been told that there will be anywhere from 50 to 200 children in the hospital over the Christmas holidays.

Any and all patterns will be greatly appreciated. I have LOTS of fabric but my pattern ideas went under when I moved and I have not yet found the tub/box that there are in.

While I haven't made one, there are a lot of three-yard quilt patterns that I think would fit this requirement. This video shares some ideas that use big chunks of a focus fabric so they would certainly fit the "quick stitch together" plan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...PCH8rbM&t=487s

There are a ton of these three-yard quilt patterns available. Good luck!

How about some wide strips, the width of fabric? Or check out this Quick Strippie quilt, designed for charity.

Smile free patterns available for charity quilts

Here are 3 quilt patterns offered available for free for charity quilts. So nice of you to share your talent and love of quilting to brighten a child's life that is in the hospital at Christmas.

Ps. I attached the patterns but to open the file it downloads it first and then you can open it.

Who uses felt in a quilt? For the small ages I'd use panels. For the teens I'd make big strips and blocks No pattern needed. I made a teen boy a quilt using six inch wide long strips sewn together cross wise. He took it to college.

I like projects using 3 or 4 rail fence blocks. The cutting and strip piecing go together quickly and there aren't a lot of small pieces to deal with. Blocks can be customized to any size and the finished blocks can be assembled in many different designs or combined with larger blocks of one print. .

I don't use felt for anything except for a Bible Story graphic set that was given to me for my birthday several years ago. However I did ask about this comment and was told that someone had made a felt storybook and the felt interfered with the treatment of another child. Don't how and did not ask. Just cannot have felt anything in my stash of gifts. I will take the gifts to her and then leave. I've worked in the medical field over 35 years and do not want to see anymore children that are fighting death.

The 3-yard quilts are what I will be doing for the older kids-twin bed size. Children grades 3 & under will get a junior size quilt and kids 2-4 will get the adult lap quilt as these are what fit each age group according to my contact.

To quilt, To quilt, To quilt I will go so if I'm absent a few weeks I ask that you all say a prayer for my kids and me as I work to finish these quilts. Thanks.

My "go to" donation quilt pattern is a free pattern "Mary's Quick Strippie"
Uses a focus, an accent and a tone on tone, finishes 41 x 56.
They all have turned out really cute!
