Good morning quilters,
I have a long arm I’ve just started using (hq sixteen) I have only used it a handful of times, as I was reading up on different thread types and thought I would try the new one I just bought (heavier king tut), well to say the least it clogged up my machine on the bottom I couldn’t get the needle to come back up so I turned off the machine and back on and the needle came up. So I cleaned out the bobbin and put back in the so fine superior thread and now I can’t get it to connect the bottom and top thread when I sew. Yikes I really didn’t want to take it in as the only place that services Thea are over an hour away! Any suggestions I could try 😦

I hate the "everything was working fine and now it's not working" stuff.
When you say the threads don't connect, does one or the other thread travel/look like it is stitching and pulls along, or does one or the other stay short?
First thing is deep breaths. Reclean and reset the bobbin, looking for little tiny bits of fuzz. Test. If still not working, time to rethread the top, following the manual. Sometimes a thread will jump or loop out of place. Also, put in a fresh needle -- even new needles can have problems any they are much cheaper than our time or aggravation!
Good luck and welcome to the boards. You can do this!!
Also, do you pull your thread up from the bobbin case? Some machines are fussier about this than others.

Be sure to check that the machine is threaded correctly, too.

I don't know the machine. But, to me it sounds like the timing is off if cleaning doesn't work.
