Default Quilt bag, zipper bags and more

I thought I was through making totes, but I had enough for three more. I had two big pieces left so I made a tote to hold 3 quilts of Valor like I posted in Tutorials here. The smaller pieces I had left I made into various sizes for toiletries or cosmetics. I lined most of these with a silky, satin fabric and also the large quilt tote. Altogether I think I’ve made 23 tote bags, 9 zipper bags and 1 ex large quilt tote, all lined. I emptied one box out of my sewing room! I thought now I have to store these but if they keep ‘disappearing’ I won’t need to find a place for them.-lol Thanks for looking and commenting on my first 19 Tote Bags post. You are all so kind.

You did it again! Beautiful totes and zipper pouches! The zipper end is always problematic for me when making pouches. What's your secret? Yours are so smooth looking!

Aashley 333, pins! No secret at all just pin and stitch. I even skipped a couple of steps on these, by sewing my zipper in between my front and lining all at the same time, repeating this also for the back and lining.

Thanks you two for looking again. I’m mopping this morning and while picking up things earlier, I found I could fit quite a few batting packages in this ex-large tote.

Well, toogie, you kind of blew my mind saying that you lined the totes with a "silky, satin fabric". I've never considered lining a tote with anything but cotton but you've given me a new perspective. You've also given me a great project to lighten the load in my cupboard of non-quilting fabrics that have been sitting around for too long. I have far too much satin with no projected use but now I predict some tote bags with lovely forest green satiny lining.

b.zang-I am out of any lining fabric like I had and today, when I went to meet with my sewing group, the same furniture store employee brought me another box of samples. I will be make more items, but will have to get something I like for the lining. Also, another lady thinks I am very productive and will use it so she brought me a whole bolt of white quilting cotton, from Andover. She claims she has too much white and white on white quilting cotton. She also gave me a 60 inch wide roll/bolt of Soft and Stable to use in bags, for body. She said she had bought it some time back and thought she would make bags. It's been taking up space in her closet, with no bags made, so she thought of me. I was happy to get it all, even though it means I'll be making more bags.

Toogie, I thought of you yesterday at my guild's Auction Day meeting. I came home with a tub of upholstery fabrics. "I'll make totes!"
