    Default Monet's Wedding Ring

My daughter's co-worker recently asked if I would make her a queen size quilt with materials she had acquired at a garage sale. Her only directions were to make something pretty. She chose this pattern but then I realized the fabrics were more civil war era and wondered how it would all come together. She didn't want to have it quilted by a long-arm professional so I ended up quilting it in sections on my faithful Pfaff 360 domestic machine. It was a challenge but here is the finished product.

It's lovely! You did a fantastic job of meeting her requirements. Your quilting is fantastic, and especially impressive that you did it with a domestic sewing machine. Bravo!

Very nice! I quilted a king sized quilt using the quilting in sections methods and my little 30 year old Bernina with the tiny throat space. It was a challenge but came out very nicely. Yours is great

Nice job, I have that pattern on my "TO DO" list. Collecting bright batik scraps for this pattern so it may be awhile before I get to it. Have a number of projects I need to finish before I can start a new project, maybe next year sometime.

I think your quilt turned out great! I actually prefer that pattern to the traditional Double Wedding Ring pattern. The fabrics worked really well. And to think that you quilted it on your DSM is amazing. Your daughter's co-worker should be delighted. I would be.

That is the first time I have seen that pattern. I like it!

Could not help but wonder if she reimbursed you in any way for all the work you put into it.

    Non-sewists usually have no idea!

Love the quilt! You did a marvelous job quilting that on your domestic machine too -wow! The pattern is a not one I recognize. Can you share the pattern name? Or is the thread title the pattern name?

Great job. I don't think I would have chosen those colors for that pattern either, but it works.
