For my DGD's high school graduation.
When asked if she would like a quilt (since she ha been making her own), the answer was "Yes!" I had her pick out fabric from my stash and she handed me the purples pile...
A lot of HSTs (approx a million) from a jellyroll's worth of purple strips from said purple pile.... and she loves it!
And Grammy has seen enough purples for a while.

That's lovely! I have the pattern but haven't gotten around to making it. Was it difficult? I have been thinking of doing it completely scrappy or in blues (which I have tons of). Are the HSTs all the same size or different?

Beautifully done! You have a lovely selection of shades included, and the border fabric is very pretty. I like how you laid the blocks out, kind of a colorwash effect.
The best, though, is that she wants a quilt specially made by you. She is going to treasure this gift.
