    Default Giraffes in a Row

This pattern is called Giraffes in a Row by Lorna McMahon. I was on a bus trip with a quilt group and saw this and had to make it. The kit jumped out of the basket and into my hands! That's when I knew I had to buy it. I found the backing in my stash. The two seemed to go together. I quilted it with simple straight line quilting 5/8 inches apart. I had enough white background fabric for the binding, but I decided to use my scraps instead. I like the bit of added color on the outside edge.

Great quilt & your backing is perfect for it. I also like the scappy binding. Much better than white.

Such a cute quilt, no wonder it jumped right into your hands. I really like the colorful scrappy binding.

Very cute. The backing goes perfect. I like the scrappy binding also. A white binding would have gotten lost, IMO.

Wonderful quilt for a baby to snuggle with or a nursery wall quilt.

Such an adorable baby quilt. I have never done straight liine quilting but it looks great.
