    Default QAYG and piecing batting

The title explains what I am doing this morning. Our guild has a BOM this year that I have been participating in, they are misc. blocks from quilterscache. So between preparing foods and lists of things to take here and there…I dug into my bag of chunks of batting. It is amazing, I have pieced 8 @13” squares so far and there is still more. I have read through both tutorials from @sewbizgirl and plan to use her thin sashing one. The only time I ever tried QAYG before was a guild quilt that we did in rows rather than blocks and was hand-stitched on the back, and was many years ago. I am really looking forward to working through the rest of the year of blocks and hopefully have a finished quilt at the end 😃

There is joy in once the blocks are together, the quilt is done. I love to use QAYG for practicing quilting.
