    Default Peanut Butter Miso Cookies...hummm

The latest craze is to add a little bit of miso to peanut butter, or chocolate chip cookies. I miiiigggghhhtt try it. Here's just one of many recipes that I came across:

I may make these today. I finally have all of the ingredients. They're just so full of fat and calories. Can I try just one? I'm sure the guys will eat them up, so long as I don't tell them that there's miso in them.

Miso is full of Umami. Adds a depth to flavor

You might mention soy, it's a common allergy.

Yeah...so are peanuts. But, my family doesn't have those alergies, so I'm good. I still haven't made them yet...maybe today.

I finally made these cookies yesterday. I brought some to a friend's house and left the rest at home for the guys. They were delicious and a huge hit with everyone. They're also very addictive. The flavor is so unique. You cannot tell there is miso in them, but it does change the peanut butter cookie taste just a bit. You can't quite put your finger on it, but it's good. The shape and texture of the cookies were also good. This recipe is a keeper for me.
