    Default Race Time

On Sunday afternoon's when the kids were little, my DH and the boys would be watching Nascar races on TV while the girls and I would go to the mall. I saw this cute pattern called 'Race Time' by Claudia Lash from Presto Avenue Designs and had to make it. The fabric is from my stash. I found the backing fabric in there as well. The quilt was slightly wider than the backing fabric, so I added a piece of 'checkered flag' to make it wider. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. It is a fun quilt to make.

I love it and I know a few of my guys would love it too. I wish I had a stash like you bc it’s more fun when you already have everything. Good job! I bet your guys love it.

Awesome quilt for a car race lover, and it seems you have a few at your house.

Some of those fabrics look like they were purchased specifically for that quilt. What a fun looking quilt. Nascar was always a thing in the house when my kids were younger as well.

What fun memories of auto racing your quilt brings back to me too. Ours was at the tracks and enjoying the up close thrills.
My family would enjoy this pattern too, mary.
Nice work on the extension to make the backing larger. It looks planned with the checkered flags.
