Hello
This forum was instrumental to my learning to quilt 12 years ago. I grew up with a grandmother that was an amazing quilter and was able to learn some from her. 10 years ago I thought I was moving back home to quilt with her, but I had a newborn and she was loosing her ability to sew so not much quilting happened.
Now grandma has passed. I have stopped working the merchandising job that left me with no free time. My son is 10. Im finally in a place to get back on a machine. After the family has taken what they want there is still an absolute quilters dream of supplies left. Im starting with finishing her UFOs and going from there.
My next quilting joirney has began. Its good to be here again.

So happy that you found us and your ability to quilt again.
Life does get in the way of other things, but there is a time and place and season for things. It sounds like it is about time to start posting pictures here of those UFOs and other things!!

Here is the first UFO Im playing with. It was planned to be a charity quilt when Grandma stitched it, but Im adding to it and surprising a friend for her birthday.
I could have sworn thete used to be a place where you can basically keep a project journal. How are people sharing thier WIP these days? I did start an album.and learn how to do photos with my phone.
Current project album

Good for you to join us again. Lovely kitty UFO and it sounds like you have more. Hey, if you are interested there is a UFO group here on the board and we just encourage each other to "get 'r done" and finish what is started. We started in January but you can jump in at any time. Easy, congenial group who like a place to show off our UFO's finishes at a pace that fits us.
