So, I am working on my New Year's Mystery Quilt and just as soon as the last clue is posted I get a call from a friend.
"They are having a sale down at the LQS. Did you know about it?"
(Like I NEED to find a sale, right???)
so, I figure she wants to go to the sale, and I will just tag along and see what's going on. I call to double check facts.
"Hey! That fabric you order (six months ago :? ) came in last night! You can come down and get it any time"
how convenient ... so, I bundle up hubby and head out to spend some $$$ ...
The fabric I ordered lo, those many months ago ... the hold up being: salesman says it is PINK ...
I say ... it isn't PINK ... what part of Red Strip-It suggests it would be pink????
He has never been wrong before
ORDER IT! I will donate it to Project Linus if it is pink (although, if Operation Stork is any indication, we need more boy colors)
and behold! It is RED!

I bought the whole bolt

The yellow plaid started it all

This is the end of the day ;-)

The fabric in the middle is a nice version of R/W/B, so figured ... nice patriotic touch!

apparently, it was about something else

There are instructions, but I was also gifted these two panels as a thank you. Cool!

Wow, I love all that red fabric you bought, especially that red stripes. For some reason, it's hard for me to find red fabric that I like, but I like all of yours.

Well I left that sale with about 50 years (yards) of fabric as well...amazing how quickily it adds up ..but at 4$ a yard you can't beat it ..I think I need to go back for more....I will be quilting there tomorrow...it keeps getting picked over pretty good though! I keep thinking about quilt backings..but i kind of hate peicing them anyway..I would rather just buy the extra large.
