i would only use it with equal weight on the front. but you could use it for the back no matter what weight you use on the front. that's just me. it might fray more than quilting cottons.
it's very pretty. no wonder you like it. and the price is right.

It's very pretty but I don't think I would use it.

Did you notice that it said "dry clean only"?

That would be enough to keep me from using it.

I will try anything once. Just know that heavier fabric is a beast to quilt if you use a regular sized sewing machine. It can get very bulky...ask me how I know....cause I've done it. Lol

i've washed upholstery and drapery fabric. when it's cotton it shrinks considerably and might bleed (use a color catcher or retayne). it also gets limp because the weave is looser and they've used loads of sizing. it's not bad to work with, but it is definitely bulky. if you do use it, i advise a very light batting or it will weigh a ton and you'll never get out of bed in time to pee.

Thank you. I see that it 100% cotton. Thought it could be washed. The pee factor does need to be considered

I have used lightweight drapery fabric in a quilt. Washed it first when it said dry clean only. The dyes did fade. To show it could be done I used Velvets, corduroy, cottons and drapery fabric in the same quilt top. It finished 65" by 90" and was heavy. The quilting was simple with staright lines.

if it's cotton and says dry clean it's because it has a scotchguard finish and washing will remove it
