1 pkg cake mix
1 stick butter
1 T water
1 T flour
1 egg

350 degrees for 13 minutes. Makes appr. 8 large cookies.

Sometimes you just don't want a CAKE, but COOKIES hit the spot!

You're welcome - the very best ones are the chocolate cake mix ones! But kids like the rainbow sprinkle type ones (forget the name of the cake mix...). Enjoy!

This sounds like it would be quick and easy for the kids to do. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you guys like the idea. I'll see what other "family" recipes might be good for the forums...

I have a Carrot Cake Mix, so will give that a try. Can't have icing, since I'm diabetic, but I do eat just the cake part occasionally. I live alone, so only cook 1/3 or 1/2 cake mix at a time. (If you try this, make sure you use heavy tape to seal it up so it doesn't go bad).

Thanks for the recipe.

Try typing 'cookies from cake mix'. There are lot of interesting recipes.

Hmmm, never tried. Got the recipe from a gal I used to work for, and I had never had any till then! Might have to try some of the variations...
