Beautiful quilt. Find out his favorite colors and begin making him a quilt that you can send over after he is gone! it will be special and made with a lot of prayer and love.!

Beatiful work and lovely grandaughter. Try to remember that God has a plan. I thank your son for his service, you must be very proud.

Beautiful work Don and a gorgeous GD. I'd like to repeat: Keep the faith; it is going to be harder for your son being gone than for the family waiting at home for him. Try to be strong, for him and the family staying behind. My SIL just got back from Iraq in Sept and rumor has it he may go to Afghanistan next year. I pray for all our soldiers and their families; if it weren't for them who knows what kind of society we would live in.

Very good advice from those who have been there. A lot of prayers will keep him safe. We have a long list of servicemen in our church and pray for them at every mass. One of our young priest went in service and spent time in some foreigh country(Iraq) He is back now but still in active duty. Keep us posted.

My son was in Iraq 3 times. He is now out of the Army. I kept busy all the time and it does seem to go by pretty fast. Good luck and think good thoughts.
