ok so i started this quilt, and i thought i had gotten enough of this fabric to finish the border and i didn't, then i went to get more and the quilt shop said that they had discontinued the fabric and weren't getting any more in.. :( so i thought maybe i could find it on the internet, but i'm not sure where to look.....

If you still have some of the selvedge with the designer on it, you can use that to google and see what turns up.

Does your quilt shop know the name or fabric line?

So sorry you are having this problem. I don't have any ideas but I've had the same thing happen & it is so discouraging. I sure hope you find some help.
Wait! If you give up being able to find the fabric could you possibly cut the border fabric in half width wise and use the other half(s) to finish the needed border. May not work but its a thought. ???

that's what I was going to ask. Go back to the shop to see if anyone there knows the name of it.

Do you think if you took the fabric into the LQS where you got it they would recognise it? who it is by or a name? maybe a collection it came from?

aside from going to the lqs, you can go to www.quiltshops.com and search for vines, leaves, tan

You could also go to missingfabrics.com and post it there.

Looked like a Cranston to me, but maybe the rest of the fabric you bought with it may still have a selvage that might give you an idea in which line it is in - I even looked to see if I had any here - close, but no :( hope you find it.
