Does anyone have a Singer Curvy 8780? I can't get my walking foot on. The automatic needle threader seems to be in the way. Can it be removed? TIA

Did you remove just the foot or did you take the shank AND the foot off before putting on the walking foot???

On my singer, it takes a little fiddling to get the walking foot manuevered into place. I have to take the whole shank off too :D:D:D

I removed the foot and the piece with the foot release button. The gizmo that the foot release button is attached to, is that the shank? If so, how do you remove it. I am scratching my head here in utter confusion. :-o
