Hi -- we're going on a camping trip with a group -- 13 in all. DH wants me to make jambalaya -- his recipe. Okay...no problem. BUT...what do you serve with it???? he doesn't know  I found this recipe and would LOVE to try it...but will it be too much??? http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2...heese_br/?cp=3

Wow! that's impressive looking ! can I go camping with you ? I'd have offered a big pan of corn bread with Jambalaya
Yeah, I think that'll be great.

I thought it was a sin to eat jambalya without cornbread.

I wouldn't mind what you serve with it as long as I could get to the Jambalaya but the cornbread does sound good.

Yes - count me in also. When I was raising my two children we went camping almost every weekend. One of our main staples that I fixed at home before leaving was sausage links cooked and wrapped in the biscult dough and baked. We would eat them with fried eggs and potatos for breakfast, with soup or anytime we felt a little hungry. Have fun on your campout.

Are you cooking over open fire? Rice or cornbread.
